They need to give the franchise a rest for now. All good video games take a break and when they are missed they make a comeback. This keeps the franchise aweseme without going stale though Matt Groening never took such advice and now the Simpsons suck balls.
That is the PRECISE reason why I hate Call of Duty so much! People like you (20 million of you) keep buying the game every single year! Your putting your money into Bobby Kotick's pocket. Too many are obsessed with a game that's about generic army men. That's not a good concept for a game. This fandom is took a couple of years to burst out like an explosion while ones for Final Fantasy took decades!
With video games, you can make anything with your imagination such as an Italian plumber who jumps on mushrooms or a young man with spiky hair, carrying freakin' ass huge sword and has a lot of issues or a bear in a tux (no pants) and a monocle who wants you money so can get pass. But instead you think the best idea of a game is real life which is basically war. It would fine around Metal Gear Solid it has an icon. Call of Duty is just a linear, watered down version of every single FPS game in this FPS-overkill era.
If let's just say they didn't release another Call of Duty game within years after 4, would you still play it? Will everybody still play a annoying online multiplayer for years and years and years?
There are video game legends like Mario, Zelda, Halo, Megaman, Street Fighter, Metal Gear, Gran Turismo, Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy, Crash, Spyro and Half-Life. I refuse to believe that Call of Duty suddenly surpasses them all! Was the first three even that popular?
